It’s never really a romantic thing (except for how it is), because James has Evans and Sirius has Moony, but it’s there. And it’s real. And it’s bizarre and sort of twisty and a little bit dark, but no darker than the name of Black.
Sirius loves James because James is his best friend. But Padfoot also loves Prongs because Prongs is the leader of their pack. And they’ve been friends for years, and they’ve experimented more than once, and Sirius loves James because he’s… James.
So what if he’s sometimes too lonely when Prongs isn’t around?
