There’s something about poetry that he hates, because there’s no honesty there. It’s never straightforward, never quite enough, never clear. And for as many messages as he delivers, he does his best to avoid delivering poetry, because it can be so misinterpreted that it ruins everything.

He would know. Years in bed with a beautiful god who spouts off rhymes that make no sense can get to a man. Especially when those rhymes don’t mean what he wants them to. Especially when they aren’t even nice.

Hermes has never been a huge fan of poetry.

But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love eating it up every time Apollo is inside him.
